The Andalusian Regional Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business via this Agency, took part in this European Week with two sessions: a round table about “Sustainable transport in Andalusia” and a conference about hydrogen “Today’s energy for tomorrow. New hydrogen projects”. The place for this celebration was the Leonardo Da Vinci Hall in the Italy Pavilion, located in the Cartuja 93 technological and scientific park of Seville.
The round table “Sustainable transport in Andalusia” was celebrated the 11th of February and it was directed at the transport public companies and associations of the different regional and local civil services: municipal technicians, transport consortia, city councils, universities, engineering schools, consultant companies and energy services companies. Its objective was to diffuse the different possible measures carried out to get a more sustainable transport and the existent sustainable mobility policies, emphasizing in the incentives offered by the Junta de Andalucía for these projects and the Spanish Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works in the Strategic Infrastructure and Transport Plan. The proposal about the energy labelling of cars to reduce the energy consumed by their propulsion systems was also treated in this event. This session was useful for the information exchange about the ICTs energy efficiency and the new programs of the European Commission. These policies improve the information exchange about the most useful practises and European projects for favouring the benchmarking or adaptation of the best projects to the local circumstances and legislation. Several pilot projects carried out in Andalusia, Stockholm and Holland were exposed to get a sustainable transport and the Movele pilot project developed in Andalusia for electric vehicles.
The 12th of February the Andalusian Energy Agency organized in collaboration with the Spanish Hydrogen Association and Hynergreen Technologies the conference about hydrogen “Today’s energy for tomorrow. New hydrogen projects” aimed at professionals and companies of this sector, universities, research centres, finance companies, technological centres, Spanish and European hydrogen associations, chambers of commerce and business, communication and citizen confederations. The objectives of this conference were the promotion and spreading of hydrogen as an energy vector and the information exchange about new research projects such as the Hercules project and the HydrosoI II Project. The General Secretary of Energy and Industrial Development and President of the Andalusian Energy Agency, Isabel de Haro, opened this conference at 10.00 h with Antonio González, the President of the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2) and Javier Brey the President of the Spanish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform (PTE-HPC).
