For the opening, Manuel Marín, President of Fundación Iberdorla Renovables, has confirmed his presence. Manuel Marin was Member of the Spanish Parliament in 1977 and Deputy after the elections of 1979 and 1982. When Spain joined the EC, he played an essential role, between 1982 and 1985, as Secretary of State for the Relationships with the European Communities. In the next decade, he occupied important positions in the European Commission and he become acting as President from July to September 1999 after Jacques Santer’s resignation. Again in the Spanish policy and after four years as Deputy, he was elected President of the Spanish Chamber of Deputies from April 2004 to the end of the last term of office. From July 2008, he is the President of the Fundación Iberdrola providing his experience to this position in the abroad expansion process of this company which is characterized by a deep integration into communities where its activities are developed.

Enerpellet, Prodesa and Hc Ingeniería are among the companies which shall participate in the conferences about climatisation and sun-biomass. In the section of electric power technology with biomass, important companies of the sector like Guascor, Magtel, General Electric, Acciona Energía and RWE Innogy Iberia have also confirmed their presence.

A plenary session shall be dedicated to energy efficiency in the local area, specifically to the Majors’ Agreement, with the presence of Juan Antonio Varón, deputy of Environment of the Provincial Council of Barcelona. He shall offer his opinion about this agreement which was signed in Brussels few days ago and in which participates the City Council of Barcelona.

In the section of the companies dedicated to the energy management, the Asociación de Empresas de Mantenimiento Integral de Edificios y Servicios Energéticos, Clece servicios integrados and Degrà multiservicios have confirmed their presence.
